City Manager Tom Homan announced in July 2023 his retirement date of July 2024. Homan has served as manager since 1999.

Slavin Management Consultants was selected by the City Council to spearhead the search for the new manager. SMC is a national firm, based in Norcross, Georgia. Over the years SMC has recruited more than 900 local government executives.
