The Delaware City Attorney is the legal advisor to the City of Delaware. As head of the Legal Department, the City Attorney also oversees the City Prosecutor’s Office, which prosecutes misdemeanor criminal and traffic offenses in Delaware Municipal Court. The department also coordinates public records requests submitted to the City.
The Delaware City Prosecutor’s Office prosecutes all misdemeanors and traffic offenses that occur in Delaware County, Ohio. Due to the volume of cases, the office does not schedule meetings with individuals representing themselves; the office will confer with such individuals at the designated court hearing time. The office does not provide legal advice.
