Yard waste collection will resume for the season the week of April 15. Yard waste must be in biodegradable paper lawn/leaf bags, a clearly identified 32-gallon yard waste container or in bundles no longer than 4 feet and 18 inches in diameter and weighing less than 50 pounds.

The City provides this service on your scheduled refuse collection day from mid-April through mid-December. 

Yard waste collection is included in your monthly refuse rate and includes lawn trimmings, leaves, brush, and garden waste. Yard waste does not include non-biodegradable material or compostable plastic bags. Stickers to designate cans for yard waste are free of charge at the City Utility Office in City Hall or by contacting the Customer Service Request Line at 740-203-1810 or by email. Biodegradable paper leaf bags may be purchased at most grocery or hardware stores.

Sod is accepted provided the bag or container do not exceed 50 pounds. Never pile leaves in the street, curb lawn or gutter.
